One of the final stages of the pharmaceutical production process is placing a semi-automatic or automatic capper on products for tamper and spill protection, quality assurance and consumer safety. A capper is also used for sealing and closing vials and bottles. The caps are placed on with precision torque for the strongest possible seal.
A capper machine is what expedites this process. While using a capper to seal pharmaceutical items, most machines can be adjusted to fit the size of the caps and containers being used. The items are sent down a conveyor and are capped one-by-one as the machine distributes caps onto each one. In many production lines, the conveyor then sends the capped items to the finished end where they are inspected before commercial distribution.
